About Nedra

Headshot of Nedra Weinreich

Since 1995, I’ve partnered with organizations around the world to develop strategic solutions to health and social challenges.

My clients include the public sector, international NGOs, community-based organizations, start-ups, and other organizations that want to create social impact. I frequently subcontract with agencies to provide social marketing expertise for their clients.

Some examples of the diverse topics I've tackled include mental health, pollution prevention, human trafficking, tobacco use, hand safety, disaster preparedness, and education reform. You name it, I've probably worked on it!

I’m also passionate about teaching others how to apply these approaches. My book, Hands-On Social Marketing, was one of the first guidebooks in the field. I’ve trained thousands through my Social Marketing University series, at conference workshops, and as faculty at UCLA and Georgetown University.

I founded the Transmedia for Good Network to advance the use of storytelling and entertainment education for social change. I am on the Editorial Board of Social Marketing Quarterly and served on the Board of Directors for the International Social Marketing Association.

I earned my Master’s degree in Health and Social Behavior from the Harvard School of Public Health and my Bachelor’s in Conservation and Resource Studies from UC Berkeley.
